Dear pretix.eu customers,
unfortunately, the pretix.eu service had multiple downtimes and issues with slow responses in the last weeks. This is far below the service level we try to provide for you and we want to deeply apologize for this.
Most of these issues have been related to the growth of our service -- with an increasing number of events and tickets in the database, naturally some new challenges arise.
In order to make the system more reliable in the future and to allow us to control the performance of some features better, we want to move pretix to a different database system. This is unfortunately not feasible without taking pretix offline for a short period of time during the migration. While doing so, we also want to deal with some other problems that are hard to change while the service is running.
We therefore want to announce that pretix will be offline for planned maintainance starting from

We are announcing the maintainance window to take 3 hours, although we expect that it will take much shorter.

If you are running an event at that time, we kindly ask you to make sure that your check-in devices are synchronized beforehand and turned to asynchronous scanning mode. To be safe, we recommend also to print out a check-in list on paper.
